[MonoTouch] Renewing MonoTouch license

I presume that the $399 for one year means that you get updates for one year, but can continue to use the product after that.
If you want to continue receiving updates after the year is up, will there be a discounted price, or will it be another $399 for each subsequent year? If it'll be discounted, are there any initial ideas about what that discount will be?.
I know it's early days, but before I make the leap I'd like some idea of what kind of long-term investment I'm letting myself in for.
