[mono-android] Monodroid Digest, Vol 19, Issue 38

Sent these privately to Jonathan but since there is some curiosity...
A few items:
1) I installed the Android SDK first (mac), then MD. Tried to point MD at
the SDK, but the emulator start/management would not respect the new
location. Searched the archives and only found some Windows issues that
didn't apply. In total with Googling for solutions that's about an hour
right there. No workaround found.
2) No included examples for video playback. This is normally a standard
sample so not sure why it's not included. Googled around, couldn't find
anything. Got on IRC and asked for pointers and a helpful person gave a
link to a project. Loading the project gave a GUID error about project
compatibility. Googled this error and people were saying it was MD 2.6
having trouble with 2.8 projects, but I have the most recent version
(2.8.x). No workaround found.
3) At one point a sample MD project wouldn't build because it said I
didn't have
MSBUILD 4.0 installed (mac). What the? Googled around, no solution found.
These are off the ones of the top of my head, but add a few more and it
was almost a day before I switched over.
