[mono-android] Linux port and visual designer?

I have actually used the free version of Eclipse to create UI and copied the XML to the mono plug-in in Visual Studio.  DroidDraw just does not work well.  Not sure how to get just the XML from Google App Inventor.  There is a lot of room for improvement here....
