Sorry, it had no relation to the previous discussion ... I should have shown better email etiquette and trimmed that away ... I am sending this from work, so was rushing things a bit. J
Anyway, GitHub is one of the options I’d noted, though having done no open source development to date I have stuck with commercial or in-house and local repositories so far so would rather put this to the community to decide. I think I’ll await any other suggestions for a little while longer (at most until Monday), but if this still stands ahead I’ll get it set up, notify that this is available to the alpha/beta developers if they contact me, and will try and progress this to buildable as soon as possible. I think it would be great to have this level of engine available from launch, and would appreciate any thumbs up even by way of encouragement if you agree. Please also say if you think this may be a dead-end to save me the effort if it will be wasted. All balanced opinions are valued here. J

Hi James,
First off, I’m not sure what this has to do with the discussion you are replying to (with complete copy of the email, no less).. Should you have started a new topic?
But considering you are managing your code using git, why not just dump it on github? I love the site and have a couple open sourced projects of my own hosted there..

Hey folks
An initial sounding out here ... is anyone interested in the AndEngine <http://www.andengine.org/> 2D game engine ported over to monodroid?
