[Monodroid] Deprecated APIs in 2.2

Hi guys,

If MonoDroid requires Android 2.2 (Level 8) or higher, should APIs
introduced in 2.2 be supported?  I wish to use Display.Rotation (
android.view.Display.getRotation()<http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/Display.html#getRotation%28%29>),
but we only have the deprecated Display.Orientation (getOrientation())
supported in MonoDroid.

Is 2.2 API support also affected by Google's lack of updates to the XML that
I saw in a recent thread that was the reason for missing 2.3 and 3.0 API
support?
