[MonoDevelop] Exception opening VisualStudio solution

Dear all,

I have a visual studio solution from way back when I still worked on Winblows. When I try to open it with MonoDevelop I get back an exception: "Load operation failed. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Anything special I could do to get to the bottom of it?
