[MonoDevelop] MonoDevelop benefits over Xamarin Studio?

Xamarin is developing MonoDevelop. MonoDevelop is his core.

You can clone the git repo or use the packages that carry with your Linux
distro.

About the installer, is not a Xamarin problem. Is a general Linux problem.
Each distro has its own way to install software.

Is the responsibility of each distro or voluntaries that want to offer a
standard way to install it.
