[MonoDevelop] Cannot drop controls onto form

Hello,

 

I just build monodevelop from source, looks great.   I cannot "drop"
controls onto a form in a gtk#2 project.  I've scoured the web, and even
seen videos of this working.   

 

Is there a secret to getting controls to "stick" to forms in Monodevelop4?
Is there a way to enable debugging to see whats happening when I drag/drop a
control onto a form?

 

Is there another way to place controls onto the form?

 

I've tried dragging buttons, containers, labels, etc, and nothing will
"stick".  Thanks in advance for any help with this.
