[MonoDevelop] Bug bounty or a reward for teaching me to fish

If you can build MonoDevelop in MonoDevelop itself or Visual Studio,
debugging it is basically as easy as pressing "play". The two guide pages
on the topic are quite out of date, but point in the right direction. I
don't recall it being too hard to get it working the first time I did it
(it's not nearly as hard as mono, for instance). There's also a stack
overflow answer that describes how to work with debugging addins, which is
beyond what I think you need to do, but might help shed some light on
what's going on. My final bit of advice is that you may be better off
debugging MD through Visual Studio on Windows than with MD itself. As
you've noticed, the debugger can be a bit buggy in MD.

May be helpful to you if $100 does not prove sufficient to entice a Boston
expert to provide a tutorial.
