[MonoDevelop] Review of MonoDevelop

Yes, I checked that first. Expand "Show other versions" and then "Show
unstable packages" (which just means "not core openSUSE packages") and
you'll see Mono:Factory (which has Lluis Sanchez, Aaron Bockover,
Gabriel Burt and others on the admin list) which is at the latest 4.0.10
and also has Mono at 3.0.12 (not quite the latest, but newer than
go-mono.com).

openSUSE is generally fairly up-to-date, but for any big version changes
then it is the same as most distros and doesn't make the jump. That
doesn't mean you're stuck without useful options, though (as I used to
be in Fedora, which had a hodgepodge of individuals adding extra
packages). Bigger community repos on the openSUSE Build Service (the
ones that don't start "home:...") can keep you up to date and be trusted
to be quite stable.
