I tried using 3.x, however, it seems that after some digging, it also does not support EF. EF 6 has been open sourced by MS, and I was attempting to build it until I decided to simply try moving the .dll file over from my windows machine to the Mac. This worked. I'm completely new to C# and Mono development, so I'm unclear as to whether this is standard practice, is frowned upon, or just plain wrong. If you have any links to information on how these libraries (should) interoperate with one another, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
-lev
