Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your fast reply.
I had tried guessing the URL to download MonoDevelop v. 2.10.8, but it
doesn't work. Neither do other permutations. The only versions I can
download by such guessing are 3.0.6 and 3.1.1. The page I get to with the
following URL
(http://download.xamarin.com/monodevelop/Mac/MonoDevelop-2.10.8.dmg) says:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated
with it.
The document tree is shown below.
<Error>
<Code>AccessDenied</Code>
<Message>Access Denied</Message>

</Error>
Do you know of a working link to download v2.10.8? Perhaps I'm guessing
wrong. Or, do you have a copy of the .dmg you can put up on an FTP server I
can get to?
Upgrading my MacOS version isn't really an option at this point in time. I
want to have a better understanding of MonoDevelop's capabilities before I
go through the expense and trouble.
Just as important, I'd like to develop software that can run on older Macs.
Will the software written with MonoDevelop on OSX 10.6, for example, run on
OSX 10.5?
Thank you so much for your time and help,
Robbie
