[MonoDevelop] line mode cut / copy / paste - was in 2.4.2, not in 2.8.2?

Hi -

I'm using Mono Develop as supplied with Unity, on a Mac. I've moved from
2.4.2 to 2.8.2 due to upgrading Unity 3.4 ->3.5. Although the newer version
seems much better than the old I'm really missing "line mode" cut / copy
and paste. That is if you cut or copy without a selection it automatically
takes the whole line the cursor is on. When pasting if the clipboard
contains a "line mode" copy it pastes the line above the current line,
rather than at the cursor.

Is there a way to turn this back on, or alternate versions of Cut / Paste /
Copy that I could map to the keys?
