[MonoDevelop] Installing MonoDevelop

I'm actually running mono 2.8.2 which was the stable version when I installed
it. So I'm taking from your post that if I upgrade mono to the current
stable version of 2.10.8 that the errors I described in my previous post
will be resolved? 

If that is the case, are there instructions on how to perform an upgrade? Do
I need to uninstall 2.8.2? How do I do that?

By the way thanks for responding. I had given up on trying to install
MonoDevelop.
