[MonoDevelop] Unable to build and run MonoMac projects in MonoDevelop 3.0

I'm unable to find whether this is a known issue. Trying to log into the
website to access some of the deeper pages gives me a sign in form with a
CAPTCHA that points to a broken image so I can't actually create an
account...

A search on Google yielded this SO question from the other day that
describes exactly the error I am seeing, except that I did an upgrade when
prompted from my MD 2.8.8.4 install and the poster did a clean install.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10607254/cant-build-any-monomac-samples-on-monodevelop-3-0-in-os-x
I am seeing this with a preexisting project as well as when creating a new
one from the MonoMac new project template.

I tried xbuilding the project from bash and I get this error instead:
test.csproj: error : /Users/joecast/Projects/test/test/test.csproj:
/Users/joecast/Projects/test/test/test.csproj could not import
"$(MSBuildExtensionsPath)\Mono\MonoMac\v0.0\Mono.MonoMac.targets"
Build FAILED.

I'm not sure what I can do to work around this or get a better error
message to describe what's going on. Currently I'm dealing with it by
rolling back to 2.8.8.4.

Thanks for any help with this.
