[MonoDevelop] Monodevelop autoupdate and NUnit slow

Hi,

I'm experiencing some problems with Monodevelop 3.0.x in Linux. First of 
all, seems that the Linux version doesn't have support for autoupdating 
the IDE, like in Windows (I never was able to do this on Linux, even 
with older versions of the IDE). My user has full rights on the 
directory where Monodevelop is installed. The update icon appears at the 
bottom, but nothing happens.

On the other hand,  I see that my unit tests are slower when they are 
run from Monodevelop 3.0.x on Linux. If I run them from version 2.8.x or 
from the console using xbuild, they are pretty fast. However, they run 
fine with Monodevelop 3.0.x on Windows.
