[MonoDevelop] Samsung galaxy not in seen as device

I have a registered copy of monodroid that I am using with VS 2010.  I have
copied my first sample app to my desktop and successfully built the project. 
Now I want to deploy it to my Samsung Galaxy1 phone but there are no devices
displayed on the deployment window, only the emulators are there.  Is there
something else I need to do?  Oh, when I attach my phone via USB cable it
attaches with Kies Mini app.  Thanks
