Also, an addition to what I said. Here are some hints,

When I start a new .NET 3.5 project, if I try to built/run, I get "The
Import Gtk could  not be found". I checked my assemblies and gtk-sharp
reports Assembly not availible for Mono / .NET 3.5 ( in Mono 2.10.8.1 ).
