[MonoDevelop] MonoDevelop 3.0.2 on Mac Can't add events to GTK elements

I have a fresh install of MonoDevelop. I am trying to add a new event, but
when I click "add new event handler" in the stetic and put in my event name
(e.g. OnClick), I get an error:

I first installed the latest stable monoframework and GTK# then installed
monodevelop.

I have tried reinstalling them but it isnt working.
