[MonoDevelop] PowerMac G5 problems getting started

OK, I imagine this question has been asked and answered before, but there doesn't seem to be a FAQ or an easy way to search the archives, so...

I'm trying to set up my PowerMac G5 (OS X 10.4.11) to run Mono Develop (I have a thing for older Macs), but I'm having some versioning problems.  I installed Mono v2.10.2, as that's the latest version that a PPC installer exists for.  The problem is that Mono Develop v2.8.6.3 won't start, because it says it needs Mono v2.10.4 or higher.  But I can't find anywhere to download an older version of Mono Develop that will support Mono v2.10.2.

So what I'm trying to figure out is:
1) what is the newest version of Mono Develop that will work with Mono v2.10.2?
2) where can I download an OS X PPC installer for that version?

Or am I better off trying to download and build a newer version of Mono from source?
