[MonoDevelop] want to work on some refactoring TODOs

Depends what you want to do, really. Submitting to the main project will be
more work because of code review etc, but the advantage is that if/when
it's accepted it will ship to all users "out of the box". If it's a
separate adding you can ship however/whenever you want.
