[MonoDevelop] ubuntu 12.04 : monodevelop hangs

I am new to monodevelop and was using it to build simple c# programs in the
unix environment. After I build a program, the monodevelop IDE hangs. I
tried to kill the process but it remains still. 

p.s. - I am running ubuntu (guest OS) on vmware with windows7 host.

Any solution?
