[MonoDevelop] Monodevelop 2.8.8.4, osx and " double quote character problem

Hi all!

Thanks for this release. It fixes my problem with accented vowels.

My problem now is that when I type the double quote key, I get a
stylized double quotes which Monodevelop promptly says it is not a
recognized char.

I can't write a simple statement like: string s = "this is a string"

Is there anything I can do to workaround this problem?
