[MonoDevelop] Latest git branch

What branch from the git repo should I use to get the latest version of
monodevelop?

I have been running monodevelop from the master branch for a while but
today I found a bug in it.
It was a rather nasty format on save bug that mangled the code.
But before reporting it I though it might already be fixed so I had a
look at https://github.com/mono/monodevelop/branches
And after trying the newresolver branch the bug was not there.

I still get the feeling that the master branch would be the best bet.
