[MonoDevelop] compiling MonoDevelop on linux (XPCOM no longer supported)

Hi,

The ubuntu distributions, starting with "oneiric" (11.10) will not longer
support the xulrunner package anymore.  The emphasis is for applications to
move to use webkit for rendering.

Is there a configuration option to compiler to webkit as opposed to the
Gecko / mozilla engine?  Or does this require porting?  I assume the OSX
port already supports webkit, however the osx api may be quite different
(don't know).

Has anyone built MonoDevelop 2.8.x on ubuntu 11.10?
