[MonoDevelop] How to run .exe file developed in monodeveloper directly in ubuntu

thanks stifu,
 the command line way worked but the doing the open with/ mono thing did not
work, it opens up the monoDevelop studio, im lloking for a way that i can
double click the .exe file and the application runs.
