[MonoDevelop] Non absolute filename Reference?

Some projects like Docky have a reference I don't have a .pc file for.
Sometimes, I don't even have it in the gac. Is there a way to make MD find a
reference without going though the .pc files?

On an unrelated note, any guide on how to use a mailing list with an actual
email address (like my gmail).
