This is in theory.

Practically you have to fight with different implementation of libraries
like SQLite or GTK; for example a widget rendered on linux appears very
differently when rendered on windows and properties available under linux
may works differently in windows; I've not tested how reacts on mac but I
think it's different again!

About SQLite the installation and use under linux is very straightforward
but on windows the referencing of the library changes... actually I never
found a language that creates REAL multiplatform applications... Java too!
