Are you using Run->Run or Run->Debug? Is your breakpoint on a line
that has a statement?

I strongly recommend you use Mono 2.6, which has a new debugger. On
Ubuntu, you'll need MonoDevelop 2.4 because they removed the new
debugger support from MD 2.2.
