[MonoDevelop] MonoDevelop 2.4 released - Not Working on Windows 7

On Windows7...I followed the instructions from the main web site...

Install GTK# for .NET 2.12.9-2
Install MonoDevelop 2.4

However, MonoDevelop will not run...it begins to execute, but then the
process vanishes with no message.

I tried (unsuccessfully) to build from source using VS 2008 (the po.mdproj
is not available according to VS...something about my version of VS)...and
there were thousands of other errors which I won't go into here.

I managed to get enough compiled to run the ide startup; however, I am
unsure if the problems I am seeing in the compiled version are the same as
with the installed version.

Is there a way to get debugging / crash / exception information from the
installed version?
