[MonoDevelop] Line Endings, Tabs/Spaces, and Unicode?

Can you explain how to configure these 'policies'?

Also, when I just open a UTF-16 file, add lines to it, and then save it, it
gets converted to UTF-8. This is obviously wrong. What can I do about this?
