[MonoDevelop] reading the C# "binding" (addin) code

Hello,

      I am reading the C# binding code. It seems that some % of it is or
potentially could be language independent. Is the % of language-independent
code low .. high? I am wondering if a language-independent library could be
abstracted out for better code reuse. I am of course deferring with those
who have deeper knowledge of the C# binding.
