[MonoDevelop] My GTK# gui designer does not work

I have just installed Mono-develop on my Mint distribution and the GUI
designer does not work. When I try to drag a container or widget to the
window it does not work. It simply does nothing. I can code it by hand but
I'm not very skilled yet to do it that way and don't want to at this point.
By the way, it works fine on my Ubuntu distribution.
