I don't think that you *intended* to scare off the student :) However,
your email only told the student what *not* to do, so IMO it sort of
stopped the conversation.
Since you are already working on the F# addin, I think it would be
best if *you* could suggest things that the student could do that
would not conflict with what you plan to do in the near future.
There's only 2 days left until the deadline for GSoC submissions, and
it would be nice to have a student dedicating their summer to some of
the more difficult parts of the F# binding, such as the
parser/resolver, or the REPL pad.
