Subject: MonoDevelop running in Visual Studio 2008 SP1 Blue Screens Vista 64
Bit
To: monodevelop-list at lists.ximian.com

I compiled MonoDevelop on Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit with Visual Studio
2008 SP1. Because the debugger complained that I could not attach to a 32
bit process I changed the Startup up project to be 32 Bit. (But I forgot to
although change to set mdrun and mdhost to 32 Bit). Everything compiled but
if I wanted to debug it. My Vista machine crashed with a blue screen. This
was repeatable every time. First I thought that the offending Addin where
the CBindings but dissabling them started up MonoDevelop, but it crashed
afterwards in mdhost.
I changed mdrun and mdhost to be 32 bit assemblies, everything worked fine,
and I could run MonoDevelop.

Is this a Bug? I thought that it shouldn't be possible to BlueScreen Vista
with a User Program. Or are there some native managed marshalling hacks
enabled?
