[MonoDevelop] monodevelop debugging

I installed the most recent monodevelop and started it up and just created a
basic hello world app and set a breakpoint to verify debugging but when I
hit F5 and run it , it ignores my breakpoints. Is there something else I
need to do to get debugging to work. I noticed there was also  a
monodevelop-debugger-mdb so I not sure if I had to install that too but I
couldnt build it it keeps giving the the error 
./Convert.cs(422,33): error CS0246: The type or namespace name
`TargetNullableType' could not be found. Are you missing a using directive
or an assembly reference?
Is this a plugin , do I have do plugin the debugger?? there isnt any
documentation on this so Im not sure if Im installing this incorrectly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
