[MonoDevelop] Monodevelop external console doesn't show up

I edited the message, adding "and start" but it seems that you didn't receive
it..
Anyway i'm using Gnome, i just found that if i start monodevelop from a
terminal it will use that for the external console, otherwise if i start it
from the menu no console appears.
Where i can find MD log?
And.. external console is able to get input (i really need this..).
