GTK# for windows is just 8MB. Presumably, you could include it into your
application installer.
True that adding an external dependency is not very nice, but you have to
make sure the user has .Net anyway (especially if you target 3.5). Which
means adding another dependency is not *that* bad, especially if you can
somehow bundle it with your application.
