[MonoDevelop] Building via a project file

Hi,

Is there anyway to get mono to build directly from a monodevelop project
file (something akin to a makefile, but without the messing around)?

OpenCTT and PDFSharp both build fine with MD2.0 beta 2 and mono-2.4 and
I'd like to get them into Fedora but without having to mess around and
generate makefiles.
