[MonoDevelop] monodevelop on sabayon/gentoo - debugger not working

Okay, I'm running gentoo.  I emerged 1.9.2 and monodevelop-debugger-mdb.

Now when I run monodevelop debug, it just crashes -- ie turns grey and is
unresponsive.
