Cool.  How about labeling each pad something more meaningful than
"Search Results" or "Search Results(2)".  When the pads are minimized,
these names are not very helpful.
Also, if I am going through my code fixing a bad pattern, I may refresh
the search by re-searching.  
Could we add a refresh button or a menu with accelerator?
Could we define a good number to keep around by default?  So for
example, we keep 10 search results (in some MRU fashion) unless you pin
some, then you get more.  That way the user does not need to pin them
for them to stay, but they don't hang around forever.
