It was with the help of [sorry, forgot the name] on the MD irc that we  
figured out what the problem was, and where to fix it, namely that  
generated Makefile. Unfortunately, I never dug deep enough in this ./ 
configure annex autogen environment to know where to solved this in a  
more solid way. I hope with the given information sbdy with more  
knowledge is able to fix this easily.

Currently I'm writing a new post on how to compile MD trunk with Mono  
trunk, and not with MacPorts' Mono. Again trying to maximize the  
MacPorts dependency, to reduce manual compilation of different  
packages. When that's finished, I will contact the MD guys. In any  
case, people with access to the wiki are welcome to add a link.
