[MonoDevelop] how to install mono developer in ubuntu 8.10

Uh oh. Try leaving password blank? (I thought that didn't work, though)

If that doesn't work, I guess you should start by getting help in an Ubuntu
forum, because this is clearly not a Mono issue. Or consider dropping Ubuntu
to move to openSUSE (what I'm about to do), if you're serious about Mono
development... Both openSUSE and Mono being backed up by Novell, it'll be
easier for you to grab the latest version of Mono, MonoDevelop and pals.


At the time of installing i did not give any password for root. But when i
try to login as root, a password requires.
I don not know what to do now.
Please help meeee.
