You're right, of course, Sandy. That's what I get for staying up half the
night working on this. It obviously makes no sense to require a specific
version of the IDE.

It was, of course, Mono 2.2 that I had downloaded from
http://ftp.novell.com/pub/mono/sources-stable/ and tried (unsuccessfully) to
compile.

So I'm back to square one again....
