Never mind....

I tried to build mono-2.2.tar.bz2, but after an attempt to install the
prerequisites, the build resulted in so many errors that I decided I don't
have time (or the knowledge) to get it working. I'm afraid I'm going to have
to wait until there's an Ubuntu binary available.
