[MonoDevelop] Problem running MonoDevelop in Super User mode

My real problem was that I was working on a windows share that I was mounting
as root,  So I couldn't save any of my files that I was working on.   I
figured out what I was doing wrong there and now it is no longer an issue. 
As for the crash I am not on gnome but KDE.  Should this really make a
difference or do I really need to be on gnome for Mono Develop to work the
best?
