[MonoDevelop] Monodevelop 2.0 crashing on OpenSUSE 11.1

I am glad to learn that MonoDevelop is stable on many distributions.
Unfortunately, on the two current "de facto" standard desktop Linux distros,
i.e., SLED 11 and Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, with standard themes and configuration,
MD crashes upon doing some basic form (GTK#) editing. Fedora is a "bleeding
edge" RHEL distro and it is not considered to be a desktop distribution.
