[MonoDevelop] adding compiler options

Hi All

until now I used to write simple programs using text editors(like nedit) and
to compile the program in the terminal using gcc.
I start using monodevelop and its much comfortable. 
my problem is that when I use threads I don't know how to add to the
compiler the -pthread library.
until now I done it this: gcc -pthread program.c

Please help.
