Yes, quot was an example, any named entity suffers from this.  You can
of course type the character " and get the numeric value for " the
same for &.  Accentuated characters should work so long as you don't
need a combining mark to obtain them, so you need to be able to type
with a single keypress with or without a modifier.

I don't like the thought of right clicking, offering the completion using
the auto complete popup seems better to me than this as it would break the
flow of things slightly less, but still doesn't seem right or I would have
done it this way :)
