[MonoDevelop] Latest Stable Mono cannot build any VB Gui

Is anyone able to successfully build and run a vb.net application?
Either web or windows? Whenever I try an application, I add a window to
the UI folder and immediately get null reference exceptions. I get
similar exceptions in a web application, with the additional feature
that the codebehind file cannot be found...
